Philosophy

At Advanced Women's Health Care, we are dedicated to taking the time for quality health care. Dr. Elguera is a board-certified specialist in obstetrics and gynecology and has tailored her practice to maintainig the health of women. Dr. Elguera has incorporated the latest advances in gynecology including minimally invasive surgery, bioidentical hormone management, and bladder control issues as well as routine gynecologic care. With the rapid pace of knowledge and advancements in gynecologic management options, Dr. Elguera has decided to cease providing obstetrical care. Dr. Elguera and her staff believe that a larger effort should be made to keep women healthy throughout their lives, rather than waiting for medical problems to emerge. As such, she has researched aspects of Complimentary and Alternative Medicine and offers scientifically rational alternative medical options, as well as traditional medical options for gynecologic problems.

Our Services

Medical and Surgical Management for Gynecologic Problems such as irregular bleeding, fibroids, urinary problems (overactive bladder, incontinence), hormonal imbalance (menopause, PMS), pelvic pain (endometriosis, infections, STDs), abnormal PAP management, sexual dysfunction and routine well-woman (annual) exams, contraceptive management, preconceptual care and basic infertility evaluation.

Preventive, Complementary and Alternative Medicine for women, including lifestyle and nutritional counseling; herbal products, essential oils, and skin care; anti-oxidant level scanning. (See Alternative Medicine page.)
